End User Release of Liability for Protechtus Remote Support
I
understand that things don’t always go perfect with computers and that’s why I
have enlisted the help of the professionals at Protechtus to protect my
personal data and assist me with computer issues. Because things don’t always go as planned
with computers , I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Employees and/or agents of Protechtus will be
remotely accessing my Personal Computer using remote technology for the purpose
of assisting me with computer issues. Hereafter, this access will be referred
to as "Remote Support"..
2. I understand employees and/or agents of
Protechtus will have access to all software and data on my Personal Computer,
although will only access components, data, and software directly related to
the problem at hand.
3. There is a risk of unexpected consequences to
my Personal Computer/Workstation including data loss, software corruption and
loss of use of the system, peripherals, software applications and data
installed and stored on the system and attached peripherals. I understand and assume all risks both
known and unknown. I understand
employees of Protechtus have my best interest at heart and release them from
liability even if arising from negligence, and I assume full responsibility.
4. I assert that the Personal Computer upon
which Remote Support will be performed is owned by me, and/or I have the
appropriate authority to grant such remote access to the Personal Computer in
question. If the Personal Computer is owned by a business or corporate entity,
then I assert that I am fully authorized by that business or corporate entity
to grant such access and to enter into this agreement to release Protechtus
from liability.
5. I, for myself and on behalf of my business or
corporate entity for which I am asserting my authorization, release and hold
harmless from liability Protechtus, the owners,
their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, with respect to any and
all loss of data, loss of property, and resulting financial hardship from those
losses.
6. By clicking on the Protechtus Remote
Support button, and accepting the remote
control notification, I acknowledge I have read, understand and will abide by
the terms of this release of liability agreement.
Your Rights with Protechtus
1. At Protecthus we understand everyone is not a
“computer geek” and we like to help people understand the technology,
therefore, you have a right to have somebody explain to you in plain English
the computer issues you may need help with.
We understand everyone is at different levels and we will explain the
technology so you understand and we won’t make you feel dumb.
2. We will do our honest best effort to solve
the issue in the most efficient and cost effective manner. However, Computers can be tricky and
sometimes things don’t go as planned and if we find and issue that was not
known or if the issue turns out to be more difficult than originally assessed,
we will inform you as soon as we are aware and obtain approval from you before
we proceeding past agreed upon services and prices.
3. We will protect your personal data and
identity. We guarantee your data will
stay private, confidential, and no information will be shared with anyone
concerning any aspect of your data, your setup, your installed programs or
anything relating to a personal nature.
4. Our ability to protect your data and solve
your computer issues is enhanced by your ability to disclose and describe all
computer problems and in the case of
backup of personal data, to inform us what data is critical and where it is
located on your PC. Therefore we will
do all we can in consultation with you to understand your needs and help you
understand the technology and our procedures and practices.
